Nicholas Vujicic


 Born December 4, 1982, Nicholas James Vujicic  is an Australian evangelist and a well-known motivated speaker born of Tetra-Amelia Syndrome, a rare symptom characterized by the lack of arms and legs. 


Born with no arms or legs, Nick Buizic has faced the challenges of his life through the power and hope found in Almighty God. 


Nick Buiditch was born without arms and legs. On the morning of his birth, his father was so stunned that he almost fainted. Nick's mother refused to see him or hug him for four months. The doctor said Nick was a vegetable.  


Rather, he learned to write on a computer, use an electric wheelchair, and use  his toes. Instead of sending Nick to a special school for children with disabilities, his parents sent him to a public school. 


His classmates bullied him and constantly made fun of him about his appearance. As he grew up, Nick fought depression and felt completely hopeless.  


When Nick was 10 years old he tried to drown himself in his family`s bathtub. After several attempts, he realized that he didn`t want his loved ones to suffer. Nick eventually came to terms with his disability and worked on adopting a positive attitude.  


As he has said “The challenges in our lives are there to strengthen our convictions. They are not there to run us over.” 

 

At the age of 17, he had an inspiring encounter with his high school janitor that changed his life forever. The janitor told Nick that “You`re going to be a speaker”. The janitor saw something in Nick that he didn`t see himself and encouraged him to share his story. 


Nick gave his first speech in front of an audience of six students. After realizing that he wasn`t alone in his struggles, Nick wanted to help others find hope and meaning in life. 


Nick decided to go into Public Speaking to inspire others. Nick founded his non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs. It gave him a platform to share his testimony and take action against bullying.  


Since then, Nick has traveled to more than 60 countries and has inspired millions of people around the world. Nick made more than 3,000 speeches and spoke with people from all 

disciplines. 



Today, Nick is one of the most trusted and motivational speakers in the world. Nick  learned that his limits did not interfere with his  happy life. 

Nick does skydiving, surfing, swimming and painting in his spare time.  


In 2008, Nick met a woman who came to hear him give a motivational speech. They fell  in love like crazy and got married four years later. Today, Nick Buizic is the father of four children.  



Nick Vujicic's first book is a bestseller and has been translated into over 30 languages. 


Nick Vujicic's success story tells us that we can do anything  with a positive attitude. Never lose hope and believe in yourself. Go ahead without looking back.

Christie Brown was born in June 1932 to a family of Irish workers at Rotanda Hospital in Dublin.  After his birth,   doctors determined that the newborn had severe cerebral palsy.
